This is the fourth installment of the FLUX Manufacturing Program, which aims to produce custom bindings tailored to each individual's style of riding.
This binding was made with the rider Rei Igarashi's input in mind, aiming to create a binding that is lightweight enough for hiking up in the backcountry, and that can handle sudden changes in snow quality and steep slopes while still allowing for comfortable turns.
The base model is the SR. In order to pursue lightness and response, we have adopted a carbon blend base plate, carbon discs, and titanium screws.
In addition, we have adopted a thinner FootOn than the regular SR, allowing you to feel the condition of the snow surface better with the soles of your feet.
Thanks to the unique response and direct feel of the carbon blend, this binding is ideal for those looking for steeper slopes and sharper carving than the regular SR.
The tapered center section creates flex in the upper portion, reducing strain on the boots and ankles.
A soft-flex material that offers high freedom of movement and allows for a more stylish ride.
Five highback mounting holes that allow for rotation at the forward tilt angle of both feet.
Allows for optimal setup without tools. Features a stopper to prevent screws from loosening.
Moving it one notch forward tilts the highback forward by approximately 2.5 degrees. Enables more precise highback adjustments.
Features a new foam cushioning material that provides a comfortable fit—as if you’re wearing nothing at all—while delivering firm support during turns.
Lightweight, soft, and highly responsive cushioning. By incorporating this material—typically used in the midsoles of running shoes—into the strap, it gently cradles your ankle like a cloud and ensures smooth transitions during turns.
A special foaming technology ensures uniform particle size and density in the foam, resulting in even compression and a natural, secure fit. Furthermore, the manufacturing process is more environmentally friendly than that of standard EVA.
A next-generation toe strap made from a single-molded material that offers high grip and conforms to the shape of the boot.
A newly designed ratchet buckle that ensures a secure fit right down to the final tightening. It also features a bottle opener so you’re never at a loss when it’s time to raise a toast.
